Christmas Pictures

While my dad was here (he's a great photographer), we took some potential family Christmas pictures.  The light and weather didn't exactly cooperate, but here are my seven favorite options.

I would love it if anyone wants to check out the pictures here and then let me know which ones are your favorites.

(I tried posting the pictures here directly but you really need to see them bigger than I could figure out how to do.)

Even though El isn't looking at the camera, I LOVE #3!!

You guys are a gorgeous family! I think I like #1 best, or #7, even though you're a little out of focus.

I also like #1 and #7.

2, 3, 5, or 7. If you use 3 or 5, can you lighten them a bit in Photoshop?

I think my absolute favorite is 3 -- you look AMAZING, and I love love LOVE the way Joe has his arms around you -- but 2 is a very very VERY close second, because you ALSO look all glowy and gorgeous, and Ellie looks all cute, and I love Joe's hand on your baby belly.

Oh, my. Every one I was like, "Oh! This one!" I do love the one with the hand on the belly, #2. And #3 is fabulous. But, I really love numbers 5 and 7, partly because Ellie is more engaged with the camera. Though, I really think #2.

For pure composition, my favorite is 1; 6 and 7 would be tied for #1 if they were crisper, but overall I think 2: it's the one where not only is everyone smiling, but everyone's smile looks natural, lit from within.

Hmmm... yeah, I'd definitely agree with vw and say 2, though really there's not a bad picture in the bunch; it's all just weighing various positives against each other.

I like 2 and 5. Two is a better picture of the faces, but I really like the whole sequence in front of the waves, because Ellie looks so happy in them. 5 is most in focus, I think. One would have been great if Ellie didn't look like she was trying to escape.

I neglected to comment on the pretty people in the pictures. Both you and Joe look great and Ellie gets more beautiful in every picture you post.

I like 7 and 1. You have an amazingly beautiful family.

I'm torn between numbers 1 and 2. I love #1 for the composition and setting. I love #2 for the smiles and joie de vivre of the picture. #2 also has the absolute best Ellie smile and it's just a joy to see.

Oh, they are all wonderful, but I think my favorite is #2. It's hard to pick just one!

Between 1&2. Thanks for sharing them - I can't believe how big Ellie's gotten! Seems only yesterday she was sliming my turquoise necklace.
