Baby Post

I'm only inflicting baby stuff on those who want to read.

Today I had an ultrasound - I'm at 10 weeks, 5 days. I was pretty nervous going in. I knew everything would be fine, most likely, but I was still anxious.

Anyway, it was the coolest thing I've ever seen. The baby (he or she but I'm going with he for now) was only 4 cm, but it looked like a real baby. He was doing flips, spins, and turns. I could see his arms waving and legs kicking. I can't believe all that is going on inside me and I can't feel it (yet).

The dr and the tech were great. I told them that I was going to send the pictures to Joe and so they took a bunch of pictures and made copies of all of them.

For the first time, instead of feeling pregnant, I finally feel like I am going to have a baby.

Yay you (and, of course, yay Minian!) I'm so happy for you.

Heh. At my 10-week ultrasound, I was all "There is a scary little alien in me." mr. flea was the one who coined the name Casper (aka the friendly ghost) based on his interpretation of the ultrasound photos. If it had been up to me, I'd be writing LJ entries about Scary!Alien.

20 weeks will amaze you if you thought 10 was cool!

BTW, if you have empty weekends in future, mr. flea works most Sundays and we are always up for some companionship. Casper is charming but not the world's best conversationalist. Yet.

Inflict? INFLICT? This is great!
