The Most Boring Post Ever
I hate packing. It totally stresses me out - I think because I worry about forgetting something or not bringing the right stuff and being hot/cold/wet/whatever. I always bring too much which is fine except that this time I have to fit my stuff in 1 suitcase and Ellie/Frisco's stuff in 1 suitcase.
So, to reduce some of my stress:
1. Frisco - easiest packing ever. He's right on the cusp of 3-6 months sizing meaning that I can just bring all the 3-6 stuff and leave the others. It won't fit by the time we get home so if there is anything super cute that I want him to wear again, I'd better bring it. (BTW, I realize this is dumb. I should just bring stuff that he is growing into but I feel guilty if I don't get max use out of his cuter clothes.) I will be taking all his cloth diapers and just enough disposables for the flight. 1 bath towel and a few washclothes.
In the same suitcase, I need to pack Ellie's clothes. I'm going to bring 2-3 long sleeve shirts and 1 sweatshirt. All of her pants that actually fit. All her shorts and all shirts that fit. Bigger socks that fit. For shoes, I'm bringing her sandals, her boots, her Crocs, and tennis shoes. 2-3 dresses (probably her Hannas because she loves them). Also the Native American dress (my mom asked me to bring it) and her life jacket.
2. For me - I want to bring mostly comfortable clothes. I need to check everything and be sure that it fits since I'm not sure of my size these days. 3 pairs of jeans, all nursing tops, nursing bras, 2-3 zipper hoodies, 1 warm sweatshirt, 1 skirt
3. Frisco's car seat - I need to find a plastic bag for this so it doesn't get trashed on the plane. According to the web, I don't have to pay extra for this.
4. Double stroller - I got this for $40 from some woman. I really didn't want it but it's going to be awesome on the plane. Just what I need. For carry-on, I need to bring the sling, baby Bjorn, bag of games/snacks for Ellie, small purse type bag, and changes of clothes for everyone, just in case.
