Okay, I am a dork, but...

I am so excited - I'm going on a road trip with my parents and kids in June. I had this idea that instead of flying to Salt Lake for th Bradley training, we could drive there. From my parents' house, the drive goes through Mesa Verde, Canyon of the Ancients, and Arches National monument, just to name the first three things that jumped out at me. And it's really not that long of a trip - 580 miles but we will do it in two or three days.

Well, I mentioned it to my parents and they were so excited. They actually want to make it a bit longer and see some of southwestern Utah as well. We will see - I've reminded them that Ellie is 3 and I'm not sure how many days we want to spend driving but I know we will figure out a good balance.

Southern Utah is one of the few places in the US that I've always wanted to see but haven't yet. Oh, and I've never been in Utah (except for pane transfers).

It should be a cool drive. My parents were very influenced by Edward Abbey and his writings had a lot to do with their ultimate decision to move to New Mexico.

So cool! We are going to Moab this coming weekend for four days. It's a free trip that the DH is covering. We will be driving off road each day and I can't WAIT to see the landscape. The pictures of it look amazing!

Oh, that's such a pretty and awesome part of the country. I LOVED Arches when I went there during a post-college road trip.
