Movers

The movers will be here in another two hours or so. I"m very sad to be packing up our home. I guess my "home" is where Joe, Ellie, and the dogs are, but I'm still sad.

It was hard for me to leave our old house, even though we were moving purely by choice, and to bigger digs. I think the house keeps a little something of you. And you brought your baby home there, so it makes it special somehow (at least, that's how I felt about our old house).

I hope your move goes well. How long do you expect to be offline?

Yeah, it's the baby thing this time. I put so much love into her room and this is where I brought her home. I've come to just accept sadnrss as part of moving. I'll have internet until we leave (May 31st) and then I'm not sure after that.

Wow, you get around! Welcome home, however briefly. Maybe doing some sort of farewell ritual (visiting the rooms, reinforcing memories) would help ease the transition?

I was supposed to leave right after the movers, but they got delayed. I did walk through the house last night and sort of said goodbye to each room.

Thanks! We leave on June 1st. I never handle transition well, but i know I'll be okay once weget settled on the other end.
