Ellie, Frisco, and I are now in New Mexico. We made it with no troubles yesterday afternoon. I was so dreading the flights here and really anxious about how I was going to handle flying with the two but the whole thing went really well. Ellie had a few tired/defiant moments on the first flight but mostly she just watch her iPod or played with stuff in her bag. Frisco slept about 90% of the time. This was great but since I had nowhere to put him, it meant that Ellie was largely on her own. Ellie slept all of the second flight which was also awesome. It was a little plane - two seats on one side and one on the other. THe flight attendant blocked off the one seat across from us and told me to feel free to use it. Ellie was very excited to sit in the "big seat" and fell asleep watching Dora.

The double stroller that I didn't want was also great. Frisco actually spent most of the airport time with my in the babyBjorn but the stroller worked great for carrying Ellie and everything else.

For lunch, we had a McDonald's picnic. I got our food and we stopped in a wide hallway that was carpeted and a nice temperature. Frisco played on the floor while Ellie and I ate. Not that flying with two little ones is ever exactly fun, but the whole thing went really well.
