one thing I do really like about this island is the bad weather. Right now, I'm sitting in Joe's truck waiting for his plane to land. Its raining and gusting really hard. The trees are leaning way over. Ten minutes ago, it was sunny.

And in the time it took to type this, it is over.

It is probably 90 out and as always, very humid. I get dressed each morning in my air conditioned room, but the time I spend getting breakfast and feeding the dogs and getting Ellie ready is all in non-air-conditioned space. The idea of wearing shoes with socks or long sleeves makes me feel semi-claustrophobic.

So, today, I'm wearing a suit with a short sleeve shirt underneath and sandals. I can put the jacket on at work so the suit works well. BUT.....it is freezing in this building! I am so cold! And I'm wearing a suit! I could start wearing socks and close-toed shoes, but it's so hot out.

Is there no happy medium???

(I have a long sleeved sweater here in the office, but it feels unprofessional to wear it every day.)
