First, I'm so excited for Floyd Landis, who has almost certainly won the Tour. I can't believe I didn't get to watch it this year. I would have ordered OLN when I ordered our cable, but we were half way through the Tour already and it was a bunch of extra money for one channel. Still, I'm bummed I missed seeing today.

Our furniture arrived last week on Wednesday and Thursday. It has been so nice to have everything here. My parents arrived last Saturday. We spent the first four days of their visit unpacking. The house is probably 95% the way it should be. Everything is mostly where it should be but I need to go through my closet and Ellie's closet and organize the stuff *inside* the closet. Still, I can live here and feel like I'm at home.

Joe was gone for most of last week, but once he got home, we quit unpacking and started finally having fun with my parents. Yesterday, we went to the Conquistador hotel in Fajardo - just to look. It's beautiful and we might go at Christmas if we can find a way to do it without spending a fortune. We then went swimming at a nice local beach and had lunch a the El Yunque National Forest. Everything was so pretty and it was neat to go from the ocean to the mountain so quickly. There were beautiful smelling camelias along our picnic route.

Last night wen went to Old San Juan for dinner. Dinner itself was great. I had this pasta that had to have been homemade it tasted so light. Ellie did okay at dinner until this waiter tried to make friends with her. Instead, he made her cry so she spent the whole meal on my lap - she was afraid to sit in her highchair again.

This morning wen went swimming in the ocean and then drove to Old San Juan to take pictures. We walked along the coast/old city wall and took pictures of the different sights. We got piraguas (shaved ice with flavoring) and headed over to the Coast Guard Base. There we looked at the skyline again and finally headed home. Everyone is now just relaxing.

Joe and I are going to a movie this afternoon. It's so great having my parents here. Everything is just easier with a bit of help. I'm really envious of people who have friends or family where they can just drop their kids off for an hour or two. I sort of wish my parents could stay longer, but they have to get back to their lives.
