Back to the Mainland!

I'm headed to the airport in a few minutes. Ellie and I are flying to Denver to visit friends and then driving down to see my parents. I'm very excited to a) see everyone, b) be back in the US, and c) experience some cold and dry weather. We are all packed and Joe will be home in a few minutes to take up to the airport. I'm a bit worried about the flight - 2 flights, each over 3,5 hours, with a 16 month old baby. Hmmm. I've packed lots of snacks and hopefully she will sleep a lot since we don't land until 2am our time.

(I'm a tiny bit worried about our flight today. I never worry about flying. I think I'm actually feeling a bit sad about leaving home. Crazy, huh? For weeks I've felt home sick and when I planned this trip I was SO EXCITED!!! This trip was originally planned to happen while Joe would be on a business trip, but his got postponed until the day after we get home. Can you believe that? Anyway, I guess I've finally settled in here - I will miss Joe, the dogs, and my friends. Oh, and if you believe in that sort of thing, I wouldn't mind some safe flight ~ma this afternoon and evening.)
