Sick Kids

Ugh, I am exhausted. Frisco still has his cough and this is the 4th week. Since Saturday, his cough has been bad enough that I've been genuinely concerned and he's had a fever alternating between 99-102. Not enough to go to the ER quite yet, but concerned. We've been using the nebulizer and Tylenol and he's been...okay. But over all cranky, sleepy but unable to sleep, wanting to nurse but not really hungry, and so on. I've been alternating between sleeping in the recliner with him and in bed. If he sleeps flat, his cough gets really bad so he's been alternating between me holding him and the swing. He just now fell asleep after about 20 minutes of sort of pathetic whining.

Ellie's fever started on Saturday as well. Her's has only been 99-100, but I'm pretty sure that she an ear infection, possibly in both ears. She's had a sort of slight runny nose for days and days but it wasn't really bothering her. Then, this morning, she woke up with her eyes crusted shut.

The health clinic we go to has been closed since Saturday at noon, which is about when everyone got sick. Of course, there is no emergent care or nurse triage line here so we've just been hanging on until 8am and we can get an appointment with the pediatrician.
