So, thanks to some friends, I just spent the last 4 hours watching Veronica Mars. It is an amazing show and I don't know how I will wait until next Tuesday to watch the end.

But now I have a million questions. Actually, the main one that is bugging me is was Logan just messing with her the whole time? If he was, why did he stand up for her in front of his friends? Did Duncan really kill Lily? I want someone to tell me what is going on. I'm glad the rape thing is settled but does everyone just "agree" now that Duncan and veronica are brother/sister? Because we can't really know that, can we?

I should have been asleep 3 hours ago.

Vist Mars Investigations, Steph. We have all the answers to your questions!

But as for these, let's see.

Actually, the main one that is bugging me is was Logan just messing with her the whole time?
We don't know.

If he was, why did he stand up for her in front of his friends?
Well, maybe he's sincere.

Did Duncan really kill Lily?
It's certainly possible, what with the soccer uniform and the cover-up and the violent outbursts and all. But we don't know.

I'm glad the rape thing is settled but does everyone just "agree" now that Duncan and veronica are brother/sister?
Hells no. That information came from Celeste, and Celeste is a manipulative bitch. We don't know shit till Keith's test results come back and he doesn't shred them.

What Polter-Cow said. Though I'm thinking those were not Logan's cameras. And yet. I'd like to see more of the "psychotic jackass" and less of the "suddenly perfect boyfriend". In an angsty, drama-ful way, of course.

I don't think they're Logan's cameras either. They're probably Aaron's. But I like to think Logan knew they were there. Just because like you, I miss the jackass.

i'm with you. while i enjoy the L/V 'ship, i don't like how sacchrinely sweet it's become in so short a time. they have a year and a half worth of angst to work through. i don't want it swept under the rug.

Exactly--it was so much fun initially because it was SO WRONG. Don't make it all suddenly OK!!

This is exactly my feeling about it. The scene where she was fixing her car and Logan was there with his friends was great because she didn't need him to defend her, they had their own little secret, and plus the wrongness of the whole thing.

So, I'll check out Mars Investigations next, but I am so hooked. I talked to two different people after church today about what a great news show I was watching.

I have to say, even though I really want to see snarky Logan come back, I truly hope those were not his cameras because that would make him just evil.

Also, thanks for your continous pimping of the show - it took me a while, but I'm glad I'm on the bandwagon now!

we don't really know any of the answers to your questions. that is the beauty of this show. *g*

someone took some screencaps of the extended preview of the finale here. there's a shot of duncan holding lilly in his soccer uniform.

though i still don't think he did it. i think his parents(or at least jake) thinks he did it.

Heh. I caved about three weeks ago. I dl'd the eps that were still up, so less than the last half of the season. I look forward to the DVDs coming out, because I missed snarky, psychotic Logan almost entirely, I think.

I enjoy it. Oddly, I don't exactly like VM the character yet. And there's been so little of Duncan in what I've seen, that I'm clueless about him.

I don't really care much about Duncan. The little bit I do care about him is only because Veronica cared about him. But it bugs me that he knew this whole time that they were together, presumably he saw how badly she's been treated, and yet he did very little to help her out. I guess he gets a partial pass with his sister being dead and all, but his indifference towards her made more sense if he thought she had been with someone else so soon after their breakup.

I give him sort of a pass for his seeming indifference because I gather they'd agreed to stay out of each other's lives because of the potential incest thing, which, yeah - sound logic. I just felt like I should be getting more of a feel for the guy who is her ex, Logan's best friend, Lily's brother, etc.

That's what being stubborn and refusing to watch until halfway through the season gets me - incomplete character sketches.

Another big gap for me? I have no idea why she suddenly became everyone's target.

I have no idea why she suddenly became everyone's target.

See I always thought there were two reasons. First, everyone thought her dad was a bad guy for blaming the Kanes and she got included in that dislike. I thought the second reason was because she slept with "someone" at the party, everyone knew about it, and since she had just broken up with Duncan, this made her the whore of all whores.

Except that we now know it was Duncan she was with. If anyone else knew about that, I don't think the slut thing fits (not that it ever should, but...)Maybe I'm just too far removed from high school to see the pre-Duncan stuff at the party as slut-making behavior. I'd be embarrassed for being so drunk, but I didn't think her behavio was that outrageous.

Also, I could be wrong about this, but I think she figured out the (possible) sibling thing on her own midway through the season. I think the 2nd to last scene of the most recent episode was the first time she and Duncan ever acknowledged that it was possible.

Oh, interesting. I agree - being drunk and stupid at a party was hardly a pariah-making event in my memory of high school. I mean, it'd get you a good, solid round of gossip and all but...

I should go check out that site recced upthread. Although, it's kind of fun making up my own backstory.

You should definitely check out that site. It's, like, the best site ever.
