Faux Aquarium

ste_noniBefore Joe and I were married, he bought me scuba diving lessons for my birthday. Together, we have been diving in Seattle, Monterey, Honduras, and Brazil. I've always thought of the underwater world as our thing. It's part of the reason why I chose the theme I did for Ellie's nursery.
Last year, when we were in Brazil, I found some colored glass fish. The fish are attached to little glass bubbles so they float. When we were at my brother's house this summer, Ellie was fascinated by his aquarium. Yesterday I found a 10 gallon aquarium and today I got the gravel and plants needed to make it look realistic. This afternoon, I put it all together. The only thing I'm missing is fishing line so I can adjust the level of each fish floating in the water. I have a starfish, a seal, a frog, a manta ray, and 6 fish. Just now, I put Ellie in her swing in front if the lighted aquarium. The fish are all clumped in one corner, but it still looks pretty cool. She seems pretty interested in it.
I just posted about my new SAHM status. I do really miss the law, but I can't be doing that now. In the mean time, I am enjoying being able to spend so much time with Ellie and show her new things.
