We are having a party tonight with all the people who work for Joe, the Air Force guys, and their families. Maybe 30 people or so. My only responsibilities are to make salad, pasta salad, brownies, and sweep the floor. I got out the vacuum this morning to really get everything off the tile and discovered that Ellie is scared to the noise. So I put her in the sling and vacuumed the downstairs. It worked okay but was obviously a lot more work.
Then I started on the brownies and I gave Ellie a juice box to keep her busy. She drank most of it and poured the rest on the floor. Of course, we both tracked through it while I was cooking. Then it got quiet and I noticed that she had opened up the cupboard, pulled out the Pringles, and was very quietly eating them over in the corner. I did nothing because she was occupied (and there were only a few left).
Just as I finished and put the brownies in the oven, she finished the Pringles and started chasing the dogs around. Of course, they wanted the crumbs she had spilled so they were following her closely.
So, to summaraize: Floor was clean but now is not. Brownies are made. Baby's clothes are covered with Pringle crumbs and cherry juice. I can't tell if I've made progress over all or not.
