My Munchkin
Oct. 22nd, 2005 05:51 pmI originally started this journal as a place to vent how I was feeling. The idea was that I could vent about people IRL to my friends on the internet and have a free little world of my own. However, as time has gone on, more and more IRL folks have asked to follow Ellie's progress, see pictures, etc. This is great, but I don't necessarily want all those people also following the other sort of stuff I like to write in here. Locking is fine, but it doesn't always do what I want.
Also, while I totally love the flist feature of LJ, I am wary of filling up my friends' lists with endless posts about "today Ellie did this". People might want to read that sort of stuff, but there was a point in my life where other people's baby stuff made me crazy and I don't want to inflict it on the unwilling.
So, I've created an entirely separate journal where I can write ad nauseum about Ellie and her adventures (such as they are). If anyone wants to read along, that is great. If it's not your cup of tea, that's great too.
Oh, yes, a link would be nice, wouldn't it? New blog here
eta: I'm going to assume that some other people might be as technologically un-saavy as I am and add this in.
After some help from
gchick, I discovered that you can actually read my Munchkin blog posts on your flist by copying the "Site Feed" link at the bottom of my other blog and posting it in the box at the bottom of the page here. Perhaps everyone else does this all the time, but it was new to me and cool enough that I thought I would risk looking like a rube.
