I'm skipping the gym this morning. There is a researcher coming over this morning. She is coming to ask me questions about raising Ellie, losing weight post-partum, and she is going to watch Ellie play with some toys. For all this, they pay me $30. It's sort of interesting to me to see what is important to them. I realized this morning that there is no way I'm letting a person I've never met before into the house until I've cleaned it up some. So, no gym.
My goal was to go to the gym 4 days a week. I can still do this if I go on Friday which shouldn't be a problem. I'm a bit frustrated about how long it is taking me to lose weight. Everyone said breastfeeding would melt off the pounds. I've lost 7 lbs since Ellie was about 2 months (when I was cleared to start exercising again). She's 4.5 months now - that doesn't exactly seem like "melting" to me. Still, I've lost 2 lbs since I started at the gym last week and that feels like progress, even though small.
