ste_noniOkay, I have no excuse for having been so bad at LJing lately. I guess as I've been happier and more settled in the last few weeks.
Saturday, we drive down to a beach near Southport, NC. On the way down, we had the car washed at this little Baptist church that was doing a car wash. The people there were so nice. They loved the car and they loved the dogs. Once we got to the beach, it was pretty empty so we were able to find a nice spot by ourselves. We took the dogs swimming and tossed ball around for a while. We also tried laying down and just soaking up the sun, but the wind was blowing hard enough that the sand was painful.
Yesterday, J cleaned up the garage after church. We can now fit at least one car in there and I'm pretty happy about that. It's just nice to see empty space. Also, we had the neighbors over for burgers and that was fun. After that, we went to bed at 8:30. It felt so good. I realized in church today that it's been almost 10 years since college graduation and I guess this proves it.
