Daycare?

I think I may have found a daycare for Ellie. I'm going to go check it out this afternoon. It costs just $530 a month, which is slightly more than the one on base but it seemed like she would never get in there. She went from #2 to #3 to #6 on the waiting list. So, I hope this will work. The only thing now is to see if we can pay for it.

Great price. Glad to see you doing something positive about the issues in your last post, rather than beating yourself up (which is never good!)

Yay! I'll cross my fingers for it to work out. That's a great price.

I've been looking for daycare for Mal here, but the only place that takes kids his age is 2 hours away. Now I have to start looking for daycare in the DC area: one of my friends who has a baby 6 months older than Mal put her on the list for daycare at our company when she was born, and the most recent date for getting in is 2008.

Yeah, I'm feeling a lot better today. I started this morning with a run which helped a lot. And I have the car today which allowed me to get out of the house. I think I'm probably a better mom than I felt like yesterday, but I do realize that this is probably not my calling.

2008? THat is insane and requires a ton of advance planning. I'm supposed to call back in about 4-6 weeks to check and see when they might be able to place her.
