Actual Conversation With Ellie Just Now

waking up, sort of whiny: Mommy, my tooth hurts....
I make her show me where, exactly, her tooth hurts. After turning on the light and checking carefully, I don't see anything.
Me: I don't see anything. I think it will be okay.
E: (again, sort of whiny) I want some medicine.
Me: Okay, I have some here.
I get out the infant Tylenol that I gave Frisco last night for his teeth, thinking that her tooth probably does hurt if she says so and a little squirt won't hurt her. I start to open the medicine.
E: No, not that medicine! I want your medicine.
Me: Um, what medicine is that?
E: *Your* medicine?
Me: Well, what does it look like? Because all my medicine is at home.
E: (momentarily stumped...and then her eyes light up with an idea) I know! Maybe chocolate would make my teeth feel better!!!
