Life Recap
Jun. 20th, 2006 06:38 pmHouse (no, not the show!)- Our house has been shown 27 times in the last 70 days. Three people has expressed interest but no offers yet. We will wait another 2 weeks or so and then lower the price. The agent thinks the price is good but we only have another 40 days or so to get an offer (after 70 days, savings set aside runs out meaning we will be paying for two places to live. Ouch!)
Housing here in PR - We are now officially getting the house we want. We sign for it on the 7th of July. We will take a few days to pain and put in decent floor coverings and then our household goods should arrive a few days after that. (maybe the 12th?)
Job for me - I have several things pending. The ones I'm the most excited about don't pay. The pay ones would be okay, but not great. Not sure what's going on here or what I really want. I would be less worried about the pay if it weren't for the possibility of paying for two places to live looming on the horizon.
Job for Joe - Doesn't officially start until August 11th, but he's starting to get more into what he will be doing. I think this is good for him and I think he's excited about teaching cadets.
Dogs - They got microchipped today, a requirement to live on post. I also found out today that there are mongooses (mongeese?) on post and they commonly carry rabies.
Ellie - Still cute. She's handling this move probably better than the rest of us.
Joe and I - We have not spent this much time together in at least 4 years. Although I know we have been on each other's nerves a bit, mostly it's been really fun.
