A few random thoughts
Apr. 6th, 2005 09:35 amIt looks like there will be no more trips into the woods to visit the beavers for the dogs until it gets cold again next fall. We went out there yesterday and I found three ticks crawling around last night. The dogs are protected, via Frontline, but I am not and I think ticks are so creepy.
I now understand why people might chose to live in NC. The weather has been beautiful the last week. Not only it is warm (and not humid!) but all the tulips, daffodils, hyacinth, and various trees are blooming. I wonder how many weeks I have before it gets too hot to really enjoy it.
I watched a South Park episode dealing with Terri Schiavo last weekend at my brother's house. I'm surprised to say it was the most meaningful thing I've heard on the case and has stuck with me the most. The message was, essentially, that her husband made the right decision for the wrong reasons and her parents made the wrong decision for the right reasons.
I had a great time visiting with my family last weekend for my cousin's wedding. I got to see one cousin I haven't seen in 15 years and she's a wonderful young woman. I was also very impressed and surprised at how interested my brother and my male cousin were in the baby. They were both very helpful to me and very curious about feeling the baby move, etc. It was a lot of fun. My SIL had a shower for me, but I think I'll write about that later.
My own upcoming personal milestones:
1. 2 more weeks of class
2. 4 more weeks until finals are over
3. 6 more weeks until graduation
4. ~65 more days until Joe leaves Iraq to come home
5. 10 more weeks until my due date
