So, this new icon isn't the greatest picture of Ellie. There are cuter pictures, but I was trying to get one with her face. Here's the summary of my last few days...

Tuesday: We were just hours from taking Joe to the airport, when he realized that his ticket is for Thursday, not Tuesday. I'm not sure how he worked that out (he didn't know it himself), but I'm not surprised. He has this way of getting what he wants and he gets away with stuff that most people couldn't. So, we stayed home on Tuesday and get to spend an extra two days together.

Wednesday: I won't go into detail, but I've turned a corner physically and am almost completely recovered from having the baby. I had some post-labor complications that were making me feel like crap and not want to move, but that all seems to be on the mend now.

Ellie weighs over 7 lbs now (based on weighing me and then us together). She is fitting into more of her clothes and is really filling out. I think she might have been a tad cuter right when she was born, but she's still pretty damn cute (although she might be getting some baby acne). She's awake more now, although her most awake time is still 10pm-midnight. We are trying to fix that.

Joe and I are going out for sushi tonight. There is one sushi place here in Sanford. It is supposed to be okay, but the most important thing is that it is close so we can leave Ellie with my mom for an hour or two.

Hey, yay for two extra days -- enjoy your dinner out. Glad to hear you're feeling so much better physically.

She's so precious. I love the expression on her face here - it's very, "Um, excuse me... are you sure about this?" Too cute.

"Um, excuse me... are you sure about this?" HAS to be the state newborns are in 90% of the time. They amaze me. She's adorable (but after seeing her parents? Not at all surprising.)

Glad you got some bonus days

Dinner was great. The sushi was actually pretty yummy.

She doesn't do it so much now, but the first week, before she could really move her head much, Ellie had this habit of looking out of the corners of her eyes at stuff. It made her look really shifty-eyed and suspicious. Of course, we thought it was adorable.
