When I was stationed in Korea, we had this thing called the NEO plan. (Non-combatant Evacuation Operation). It was what we were supposed to do if North Korea attacked. I had a map to each family's house in a folder along with pertinent information. It was pretty obvious to me that there was no way we could ever account for everyone - too much chaos. So watching tonight's ep had me really stressed out. If Hera's the only one they lost, they did well.

Speaking of which, the whole "Adama would never lie to me" thing bugs me. I think she's not thinking clearly to think he wouldn't have lied to her back then. I mean, they were close to forcing abortion on her, if I remember. Anyway, I like her faith in him, but I think it's unreasonable. A few more nitpicky things - can we please have hot!Lee back? I get the fat/soft thing and I think it even sort of fits in with his story from the end of last season, but now that he's "back", can he be back to hot, sexy, Dualla-free Lee? That kiss was so painful to watch. It made me squirm. Speaking of kisses, Kara kissing Leoben was way hot. I hope there's more of that at some point. Also, I like Anders now. He's turned out to be cool, although I still don't see the chemistry between him and Kara. Oh, and I loved Adama shaving - what a great metaphor for getting back and moving on. It appears there might be some tension between Adama and TIgh, however, which is too bad because they both led well. One last thing - Kat's repeated "now!, now!, NOW!" struck me as really dumb. What if there's static and someone doesn't hear all your nows. It also reminded me of Dawn shrieking "get out! Get Out! GET OUT!" Women have to work hard to sound not shrill in those situations.

I have to say that while I didn't like the whole Cylon=USA, Galactica=Iraq thing, I did think that the story played well on it's own. I think it would have seemed like such an allegory if they had not used the word "insurgent". Right now, that word is too tied to Iraq. However, while I haven't listened to the podcasts, I seriously doubt that Ron Moore thinks the USA is like the Cylons. Probably he just likes making us squirm and it worked!

I love how this show can make me get all choked up on a regular basis. I *knew* the Pegasus would come back, but I still got all sappy when it did. There were a few scenes last week and the first week that also got to me, like the radio message. It must have felt so good to know they were coming!

This repeated separating babies from their moms thing has been bothering me. It just always upsets me to think about the mom all alone and the baby growing up without mom. I know that babies in TV/movies almost never come into existence without some sort of plot work to do, but it still always makes me sad. I blame Ellie.

I love Adam so much. I can't wait to see what he does now. Same thing with Roslin - oh, and I can't wait to see them together. I'm curious to see how the Casey fallout will affect Starbuck. She's so rarely happy and she seemed to have really bonded with casey in such a short time. Makes me think she was looking for someone to love. I'm also really interested in Sharon's story. I hope she makes Adama proud and proves that he was right in trusting her.

Okay, time for bed. I can't wait for next week.
