Tivo Frustrations

My Tivo has been stuck on the powering up screen for the last 24 hours. I've tried turning it on and off with no success. Everything on the Internet says it's dead. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get through to Tivo for some reason to verify this. Tivo's only support number is an 877 number and I"ve never had any luck calling those from here.

I'm sure you've tried this, but what about unplugging it, leaving it unplugged for a wile (hour or so) and then plugging it back in?

Plus, we bought it at Costco so at the very worst-we can find something to do. I'm sure it'll be on my records. I'll find out what I can do on my end, okay?
