Joe is in Nashville all week - apparently working hard and having fun with friends we used to know in Colorado.

I am tired. I want my house cleaned so badly but I just don't have the energy to do it. Also, I want to decorate for Christmas, but there's nowhere to put stuff that is safe from Ellie. And I want a tree, but I want it to be magically decorated already. We have decided not to get one, but today they brought a real one into work and it smelled so good. Ellie got two presents by mail today and I have nowhere to put them with no tree. I would give anything to just close my eyes magically have my house clean and a tree in the living room.

I know - these are first world problems. Oh, and here's another one - I'm getting bitten by mosquitoes as I type this. We have screens on our windows but they come in anyway. I really really miss the snow and cold. I guess ice cream will have to do.

I'm sorry. Is there anyway you could get a wreath made of something fresh and piney? You could put it somewhere high, have something Christmas-y, and the smell would fill whatever room it was in. I've no idea what the wreath buying opportunities are in your part of the world, though.

I love the wreath idea - if I see something like that, I will get it. I'm also considering borrowing Bev's idea and just buying one special ornament for everyone this year. It might be a nice tradition to start with Ellie and it frees us from having to put up a tree if we don't want to. They do have trees here, but they are all imported. Weird.
