I'm Having a Great Day...
Sep. 9th, 2004 02:01 pm...and it’s been a long time since that happened.
First, we closed on our house yesterday. This wasn’t a huge deal because we had already been renting it for the last month. But, we left with more money that we had paid in. With the way the cars have been breaking around here the last month, it was nice to have something go our way. We should probably save the money for the next disaster, but I’m dreaming of an NC beach weekend.
My really stressful opening statement yesterday went fine, even if I wasn’t Johnny Cochran.
Our washer and dryer didn’t come on Tuesday like they were supposed to. The closet was overflowing with dirty laundry. This morning, my really nice neighbor not only let me wash our clothes at our house, but she is going to dry and fold them and bring it back to my house this afternoon!
And, best of all, J will be around for a few more weeks than we thought. It’s so nice not to have that deadline hanging over my head. It’s still there, but now it’s a little farther away. I’m not counting weekends for the moment, and that feels great!
