This article is so scary it's worth reading As a Christian myself, you would think I'd be thrilled to have "one of us" in the White House. Instead, I found myself truly frightened about the possibility of another Bush term.

This is an NY Times article so it requires registration, but it's worth reading.

The problem isn't his so-called Christianity, which I personally doubt anyway; it's the unpleasant combination of mulishness, arrogance, stupidity and fanaticism that makes him so dangerous.

I come rfom the palce of believing that fanatcism isn't belief at all, but rather its opposite: it's overcompensation for doubt. After all, if you have the tiny little voice in your head going, what if I'm wrong, then shouting down the voices by being louder than they are is the first line of defense of the stupid and frightened.

And Bush? He's both. It's a horrible, dangerous combination. What's more, the people around him - genuinely evil by my secular humanist standards - manupulate every nuance of him to their benefit.

We have GOT to get these people out.
