Sick Baby

Just wanted to say that I have not disappeared. Ellie is in the hospital with RSV. We checked in Monday and I was hoping to get out today, but she got a bit worse in the night. She's going to be okay but it's going to take a while. I am so tired. Not physically tired, but tired of everything else. Nurses poking her, IVs stuck in her, her throwing up and changing the sheets, the Puerto Rican hospital with no blankets, pillows, Kleenexes, or drinking water. I'm tired of sitting on a bed, holding more poor little baby. I'm also tired of explaining to the nurses that I'd rather hold her and I'm *not* going to put her in the crib that is in the corner of the room.

Anyway, I'm tired. Oh, and I have RSV myself, and pinkeye, but it's not that bad. Plus, as the doctor pointed out, I'm now making antibodies that Ellie can benefit from. Yay breastfeeding, once again. It feels good to know I am doing something to make her get better beyond just holding her.

Okay, I have to start some laundry, eat, and then get back...

Oh damn. That sounds like a lot of anti-fun. Hope you are home in your beds very soon, ailment free.
