People who know me have heard me say many times that while I'm not a huge football fan, I grew up watching the game on Sunday afternoon with my dad after we all got home from church and had dinner. As I've moved around the country, I've grown more detached from football. We are never in town long enough to really grow attached to a new team.

Today, the Vikings (I grew up in MN) just happened to be playing on national television. They are playing Jacksonville. When I saw they were on, I left the TV on and took a nap. I woke up just at the beginning of the 3rd quarter. As I was waking up, I realized that the Vikings must be playing at home - in the Metrodome. I could tell because I kept hearing all these Viking calls in the background. That's not very specific, but I'm not sure how else to describe it. Imagine Gimli blowing on that giant horn at Helm's Deep - sort of sounds like that.

I hear that sound and I'm not alone in my NC house anymore. I'm 12, sitting in the house were I grew up with my mom, dad, and brother, and our dogs. My stomach is full of my mom's awesome cooking. It's freezing outside, but I'm completely warm in our basement. My biggest worry is getting up for school on Monday.
