Inauguration Day

Yay. I managed to ignore all the inaug. stuff, although I have watched part of the parade. For example, I'm pretty sure I just saw the Zia Pueblo Band on TV. If I read their sign right, the band must be from the Zia Pueblo which is very close to my parents house. It's on a beautiful high mesa outside Albuquerque, but life there looks had to me. It's elevated in a valley which means it's really windy up there. And it's a very poor area. So I think it's pretty cool that these kids and adults get to travel to DC. It doesn't seem to me that this is an opportunity very common for those kids.

Joe called me twice today but I missed both calls. The first time I was walking the dogs and the second time I was at school. That always makes me sort of sad since I can never call *him*.
