Good News!

My cousin (on my dad's side) Rick got engaged to my cousin (on my mom's side) Emily last night. Rick and his sister Denise grew up next door to me. They were like my little brother and sister. Emily and her brothers used to come visit us over the years and Emily and Denise became friends. About a year and a half ago, Denise got married and Emily was a bridesmaid. Emily and Rick were very interested in each other that weekend but nothing really happened. He was in school in Duluth and she was a teacher in Indianapolis. Before we knew it, they were spending all their vacations and long weekends with each other. Rick made the 10+ hour drive down to see Emily over and over. Last summer, when I was in Minnesota, Rick would just disappear for a few days to go see Emily. And now, they are engaged. I think she's living in Minnesota this summer. Rick has one more year of school and then I think he will move down to Indiana. Maybe.

I love them both so much and I think they are so good together! I can't wait to go to the wedding.
